About Us

God's Kitchen of Michigan, formally God's Kitchen - Battle Creek, is a church-owned, 501(c)(3) soup kitchen. Incorporated in 2011, we are a division of Baptism USA Ministries --a church located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Our mission is to fulfill the edicts of God and Jesus Christ, by providing hearty and nutritious dinners for homeless, hungry and working poor individuals,  families and veterans (see Deuteronomy 15:11, and John 21:17).

In 2012, the United States Congress awarded a Certificate of Congressional Recognition to God's Kitchen of Michigan, for feeding the hungry and senior citizens in Battle Creek, Michigan.  The soup kitchen is also a Certifying Organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award, a national organization that honors individuals, families and organizations for their community service. This program is administered by the Points of Light Foundation.

As a hunger relief advocate, we remain committed to collaborate with any individual, family, church, corporation, government, nonprofit organization,  or union that is interested in partnering with us to alleviate hunger in the communities that we serve.

Pastor William Stein, Co-Founder and Chairman of God's Kitchen of Michigan, talks about our past, present and future on The Lori Moore Show.
