God's Kitchen of Michigan
Celebrates 13th Anniversary
On January 20, 2011, the state of Michigan incorporated God's Kitchen of Michigan (formally God's Kitchen - Battle Creek). We served our first dinner on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at First Baptist Church in the Cereal City, where 86 hungry souls enjoyed a free soul food dinner. Since that time, more than 156,000 meals have been served to the homeless and other hungry citizens living in Battle Creek, Kalamazoo, Portage, and East Lansing.
On behalf of the God's Kitchen of Michigan Board of Directors, we extend our sincere and heartfelt thanks to our board members (past and present), donors, sponsors, youth groups, unions, volunteers, and churches for helping us fulfill Jesus Christ's edict to "Feed my sheep." Our prayer is that our Lord will continue to overwhelm every individual, family, corporation, and charitable organization with blessings to continue to combat hunger through this ministry/corporation.
God bless you.
